pretty area inside palace with a great view

we took the train (about 1 hr) from lisbon to sintra for the day. From train station we took bus up the steep hill and explored the royal palace. We then walked back down to the fort through a pretty path in the woods where we then got the bus once again to go back to town. In town we toured the palace of pena which was not nearly as elaborate at the royal palace but it did have a great kitchen area and a wonderful arab room. We found a good cafe for lunch and walked back to train station to return to lison. Fun day.
